Hi all,
I hope this has never happened to you, but in a way, i hope it has and you found a way to solve the problem. I recently subscribed to a group on the VIPconduit site, and when i followed the link to confirm my subscription, it said my request to join the group was successful, but when i try to post, I get a stupid error message teling me I don't have permission to post to the group, that i may have to joion th egroup before i can post, and gives me a link to go to to find out about the group and find out who can post. I subscribed to another list just to see if i'd have th esame problem, and i do. there is another list that has a similar name to that one, but i d on't think this is the problem, because i tried subscribing to another list and still have the same problem. I can receive messages from the groups, but get that same stupid message each time i try to post. someone said it could be road runner not letting me post because it thinks I'm spamming them, but i can post to people individually, and to test this, I subscribed to a group of theirs that still uses yahoo, and got a message back from yahoo saying it couldn't deliver my message, and that i must post to any list using th esame email address i used to sign up for my account. I didn't know you had to have any account with yahoo just to post to lists, but I followed the steps to reactivate my yahoo account, then sent a message to that list, and the message showed up about half an hour later or so. I only had an account with yahoo because I downloaded yahoo messenger and had to have an account for it, but when i changed providers, I didn't notify yahoo or anything. As for the darn google thing, I was subscribed to vip announce list with my old email address, but the day before i got road runner, I unsubscribed my old email address, and resubscribed with my new one, but since people don't post to the announcement list, i didn't know i had a problem,because I started receiveing messages immediately after resubscribing with the new email address.since reactivating my account and linking my new email address to it with yahoo let me post to the yahoo list, that knocks out the theory that road runner isn't letting me send messages to lists, and parker, who manages the lists has no idea what's going on, I think the problem lies with google somewhere. What do you think? any ideas? please? I sort of hate being on lists I can't post to while everyone else can.

I've always been able to post to Yahoo groups Wonderwoman! Even when I've changed my email address! You have to use the one you signed up with Yahoo to access the group! You just tell them your new email address! There's a change email address link in the group's home page! I'm not sure about the Google group! I didn't know Google had groups!
they sure do salina fan. a lot of people, i think particularly blind groups are going over to google, because if we have a problem with th eword varification thing, we can listen to th enumbers being read, then type them in, however, they've just changed over from google groups 2 to google groups 3, and I think there are a lot of bugs in it, since I was reading some posts in a ogogle groups help list, and one other lady had the same problem i'm having, and she'sa group moderator. there is a link to fill out a form and tell the google team, and i filled it out, but someone was saying they don't even take the time to come in and help us or respond to our problems, and he said they could always offer us the old version, and he feels its time to change email providers. One answered him by saying if he wantedt to do so, then do so, but we would figure this out. he was in effect tellling the guy to stop complaining, but I agree with the guy who was complaining, what good is it to have this and that features if you can't post to groups you are subscribed to?

well, as someone suggested, I tried creating a google account hoping this would solve the problem. I got a response from google about the posting error, but all they said was that clearing my cache would solve most ofthese problems. it didn't work, of course, as i knew it wouldn't, it never does, but i did it anyway. when that didn't work, i tried creating an account, but the audio varification link wouldn't come up, great! lets face it, it's their problem. I'm in agreement withsomeone who siad all they had to do was offer us the older version, but of course, that solution would be too simple.

Wonderwoman that's rude of those Google groups! I hate those word varifactiones! For my space I had to get my sister to sign me up! I was so mad about that! Well I guess not really mad! I wanted to do it on my own! I mean it didn't have anything to do with my sister! I just wanted to do it! Does the audio thing sound like the woman at Msn? It sounds like she's eating!
Hi salina fan, I can't get the stupid audiio thing to come up. I enter on the link and it just won't come up. I think i coulod do it if it would only come up and play. it might take me several tries before I could do it if its a bit hard to understand, but at least i would have a good chance at it, but it just lookslike the link won't come up. I talked to someone last night, and he still uses the old version google started out with so he invited me to his list, but stil the same dumb problem. He gave me the link to go directly to the page and post, but it says the page cannot be displayed and to go to the lists home page and look for the information there. thats so stupid, because thats the exact link i pasted in, and thats the one it tells me to to go too. grrrrrr!!

I have no idea. i wrote to google again and told them clearing my cache didn't work, and the audio varification won't work, but they haven't responded. I just do what ever i do on the spur of th emoment. i just don't kinow.

I would've given up and tried to find another group!
well the reason I tried is because most of the vip especially the women's sewing circle is on that group.

I can post in google groups now, yay! yay! I just decided to post to one of my groups on there once more, and in a few minutes, my post was right there, no error message telling me i didn't have permission to post, but my very own message yeeha! I couldn't believe it. so I posted to another one and my post arrived in minutes, yay! jumping for joy!

Yea Wonderwoman I'm glad to know it worked! I'd love to know why that happens? Computers can be wierd sometimes! Keep jumping for joy!
I think the problem was on google's end the whole time, and they just didn't email me and let me know the problem was straightened out because noone likes admitting when there's a problem on their end, especially when they wwere so sure the problem was too much stuff in my browser cache.

How rude of Google! It's usually on their end in the first place! When we have a probblem with our enternet our isp always acts like it's our fault!
